Take advantage of autumn hiking! The changing seasons are a great opportunity to get some hiking in. Cooler weather and fewer bugs make trails a lot more enjoyable, and that's before you factor in the scenery. Hiking is a great exercise that engages your entire body. If you time it right, you can catch some amazing autumn views by hiking right when the leaves start to change color.

Build a gym routine that you can commit to. Dealing with the short days and long nights can be rough. That's why it's especially important to have a fitness routine that you can maintain when winter starts setting in. To make the most of your time at the gym, trying mixing up what facilities you use to capitalize on everything that the gym has to offer. Once you've found a routine that you like, the changing seasons will be a lot more manageable when you stick to it.

Enjoy some (healthy) fall foods! You know how the saying goes: you can't out-train a bad diet. Thanksgiving can feel like stepping on a landmine along your fitness journey, but there are so many awesome seasonal foods available beyond that. Pumpkins are a versatile, nutritious addition to any dish, and they work great in tons of non-pie meals! Apples are at their best in the fall and work as either a single snack or a sweet, nutritious complement to savory meals. Pecans are some of the healthiest nuts available and they're at their best during this season.
