Suppressors are legal but are regulated by federal law and on a state-by-state basis by the Nation Firearm Act (NFA) branch of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE). Private citizens can legally purchase and possess suppressors in Colorado without a permit.
As of July 13th, 2016, BATFE Rule 41F went into effect. While this ruling did change the process of purchasing NFA-regulated items, DCF Guns is dedicated to helping you easily understand and navigate the new requirements.
