You can still RV in the winter! Let's check out some awesome routes for you to take. Avoid the snow and warm up at these beautiful locations!
-
Southern Arizona: Begin your trip in Tucson and end in Bisbee. The distance one way is 104 miles. In Tucson, you'll find both indoor and outdoor activities, not to mention, warmer weather. Check out massive cacti in Saguaro National Park and hit the bars afterward. Hit the town of Sonoita next, where you will find tons of wineries and tasting rooms. The historic mining town of Bisbee is your next and final stop. The downtown area is walkable and full of shopping, eating, and drinking! You can even travel underground on a Queen Mine Tour!
-
National Parks in Southern California: Start your journey in Joshua Tree National Park and end in Death Valley National Park. This is 249 miles one way. Wake up early to catch the sunrise from Cholla Cactus Garden, about 12 miles south of the Joshua Tree entrance. Enjoy a hike at the Ryan Mountain Trail or the Hi-View Trail, and end your day stargazing at the campground. Your next stop is Death Valley, about 4 hours away. Take the scenic route and explore Artists' Drive to experience colorful hills.
-
Southern Texas: Start at South Padre Island and end 709 miles away at Big Bend National Park. Spend 70-degree days relaxing at the beach in South Padre. You can even go on a horseback riding tour along the beach! After you've had your beach fix, head to San Antonio. Take in the city and enjoy the River Walk before heading on to Big Bend. You will want to spend at least 3 days in the park so you have time to enjoy the desert, river, and mountain. Great spots for views include Santa Elena Canyon, Balanced Rock, and Lost Mine trails.
-
Florida Keys: Key West is where you will begin this road trip. End in Marathon, Florida. This is just 54 miles one way. Party in Key West as you walk along Duval Street and watch performers in Mallory Square. Once you're partied out, head to Big Pine Key for some relaxing. The Sunshine Key RV Resort is right at the Atlantic Ocean, where you will also find an on-site marina with boat tours and kayak rentals. Wrap up in Marathon at the Grassy Key RV Park, this time, with a view of the Gulf of Mexico.
